Joy Serednesky is an independently licensed Professional Counselor (PCC).  Joy has a Masters of Education in Community Counseling from Cleveland State University.  She has over 15-years of experience in counseling (children/adolescents/adults) through individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, behavior management, and crisis management.  In addition she has expertise and training in the areas of trauma, early childhood mental health, lifespan development, developmental disabilities (such as autism spectrum disorders), high risk populations, PCIT, PECs, ABA, and TEACH.  Joy has managed mental health staff, behavioral health staff, and school personnel.  She has provided training and consultation to schools, preschools, daycares, Head Start, mental health professionals, and residential/day treatment staff in working with individuals with severe mental health issues and disabilities.  She has experience working with Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and advocating for families with regards to their child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and 504 Plans.  She is excited to be with Strongsville Family practice and to work with you.
