ADHD Assessment & Treatment

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, commonly called ADHD, is a disorder that affects approximately 7% of the population. ADHD first appears in childhood, usually before the age of 7.

ADHD is characterized by difficulty initiating and maintaining attention as well as hyperactivity and impulsivity. Most children display some level of these symptoms, which makes an accurate diagnosis difficult yet essential. Improper diagnosis can lead to ineffective and, occasionally, harmful treatments.
